✨ What’s New
We’ve introduced Hazmat labels and stickers for shipments containing hazardous materials, such as electronics with lithium-ion and lithium metal batteries. Labels are now also divided by fragility and follow the correct UN number assignment rules, ensuring couriers handle packages with the appropriate care and compliance—reducing delays or rejections.
🛠️ Key Features
📦 USPS Hazmat Shipping Label with “H” Code
All USPS shipping labels for hazardous materials now include the required “H” code.
This ensures packages meet USPS guidelines and are not rejected during transit.
🔖 Hazmat Sticker for Shipping Kits
A 4x4 inch (10x10 cm) Hazmat label is now automatically included for shipping kits containing hazardous items.
The label includes:
A battery with flame icon
UN number:
UN3481 (Fragile): Rechargeable electronics (e.g., laptops, smartphones, tablets, watches, remote controls)
UN3091 (Less Fragile): Non-rechargeable electronics (e.g., calculators)
The text: “For more information, call {:company-phone}”, which will automatically use the phone number set in Location Settings.
🗂️ Catalog-Based Hazardous Item Classification & Combination Rules
Items are now categorized as:
Non-hazardous
UN3481 (Fragile): Rechargeable electronics
UN3091 (Less Fragile): Non-rechargeable electronics
If a shipment contains a combination of categories:
Non-hazardous + UN 3091 → labeled UN 3091
UN 3481 + any other type → labeled UN 3481
Non-Hazardous + UN 3481 + UN 3091 → labeled UN 3481
⚡ Support for Multiple Battery Types
If items require different UN labels, the correct single UN number will be assigned based on the combination rules above.
✅ Why This Matters
